Our Process
At Arlen Cabinetry, we want the process to feel simple, organized, and personal from the beginning. Every project is a little different, but most follow these steps:
Working With a Designer or Builder?
We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with interior designers, builders, remodelers, and architects to create custom cabinetry that fits seamlessly into the overall vision for the space.
1. Initial Consultation
We’ll meet with you in your home to talk through your ideas, needs, and overall vision for the space. During this visit, we’ll take measurements, discuss the scope of the project, and go over design details, finishes, and any special features you’d like to include.
2. Estimate
After the consultation, we’ll put together a detailed estimate based on the design, materials, and scope of work discussed. The estimate will be emailed to you for review, and we’re happy to answer any questions or make adjustments before moving forward.
3. Contract & Deposit
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll finalize the project details, sign the contract, and collect the required deposit. This officially places your project into our schedule and allows us to begin the building process.
4. Your Cabinets Are Built
One of the benefits of custom cabinetry is that most of the work happens before we ever disrupt your home. Your cabinets are built in our workspace, where we can focus on the details, craftsmanship, and finish without turning your home into a construction zone for weeks.
5. Tear-Out & Installation
Once your cabinetry is ready, we’ll schedule the installation. When possible, removal of the existing cabinetry and installation of the new cabinets are coordinated together to keep the time your space is out of use to a minimum.
6. The Finished Space
We’ll complete the final details, make sure everything is working and fitting as it should, and leave you with cabinetry designed specifically for your home and the way you live.

Yes. We work with you to create cabinetry that fits both the space and the way you plan to use it.

Can you work from inspiration photos or drawings I already have?
Absolutely. We’re happy to work from inspiration photos, sketches, plans, or drawings you already have. Whether you’ve saved ideas from Pinterest, Houzz, magazines, or another project you love, we can use those as a starting point and help turn your vision into cabinetry that works beautifully in your own space.

Can you work with my interior designer, builder, remodeler, or architect?
Absolutely. We enjoy collaborating with other professionals and are happy to work alongside your designer, builder, architect, or remodeling contractor to help bring the overall vision for the space together.
